Incoherent reports from the Northern Hemisphere speak of of a vast storm or a series of storms on a scale unprecedented in the last several thousands of years. Freezing, high powered winds are sweeping down from the Artic and blanketing large areas of the northern continents in great sheets of snow and ice. Sudden melting risks massive floods.
