I feel I am hot on the trail now of why Earth’s surface is so temperate, so life enabling? I search for the molecules that retain the infrared waves. What makes them different and what do they have anything in common. What is it with these tiny portions of our atmosphere, theseTrace Gases that enable the wamth of life?  I am kind of stunned by the simple answer to my questions.
