Revealing our Thermodynamic Beings Level II
Students
investigate thermal insulation/bridges using cans containing hot or cold water
and thermal absorbtion/emmisivity using different materials and coloured
surfaces. They record their results on templates or their illustrations using a
red-blue code. Red indicates warmer areas i.e. areas with greater amounts of
thermal energy. Blue indicates cooler areas i.e. areas with lesser amounts of
thermal energy. Students can supplement sensory judgements with thermometers.
