As always, everything that Junk Joules says has an element of truth. What Junk Joules does not say is that greenhouses work primarily by suppressing atmospheric convection while enabling photosynthesis in the plants. Often they are heated internally.  Similarly air is mainly heated by our planet. By likening air to glass, Junk Joules is obscuring two great properties of air.
