I stand, feeling the ocean
waves hitting me. The shorter the distance between the waves arriving each
second, the greater the amount of energy arriving. Hmmm. How can I reveal that
high frequency* waves of energysuch as invisible ultra-violet light contain so
much energy that they can damage us? Visible light has longer wave lengths and
thus contains less energy. Invisible infrared waves have even longer wavelengths and
even less energy.
