I pick up a rock. It is warmer than me and I can only feel the warmth from the sun’s rays retained in its mass. Most of the rays are transformed into invisible, “low frequency” waves of energy when they hit the rock. I pick up small pebble. I feel its heat for only a moment. I pick up a grain of sand. I know it heats me but the amount of energy is too small for me to detect. Like air molecules are.
