Surely soon I will be freed from this dark world. I do my duty as bid and keep plugged into THE ECONOMY life-support.  Just when I think the powers that be will pronounce it dead my heaters and coolers start glowing and humming.  My dream of enjoying the sun wanes as they flicker on and waxes as they splutter out. I talk my spirits up.
