I wait for the Minister of Energy to respond to my letter. I watch Earth’s moon circle us as it has billions of times. Large enough. Not too large. Not too far. Not too near. Smoothing Earth’s spin so life as we know it can exist here. Ageless compared to life in the human form. Like many before me, the moon makes me wonder, to want to know.
