Victoria University Wellington New Zealand Reviews

Peter Barrett (profile)

Peter Barrett
Professor of Geology
Victoria University
Wellington

Dear Peter

Victoria University is associated with being a Centre of Excellence on “climate change” and there is considerable evidence to suggest it has had a profound impact on both how climate change issues are communicated and on the strategies New Zealand has adopted to mitigate the perceived negative impacts of human activities on climate balances.

I am writing to members of Victoria University who are prominent and influential in the field of climate change eliciting their reviews of my resource for evaluating the sustainability of Climate Change Education programmes. I propose to collate the reviews to form a website resource and to broadcast the collation in the general media.

I am approaching you as you are nationally prominent in communicating how Earth's climate works and drawing the public’s attention to the possible negative impacts of human activities on vital climate balances. The draft evaluator resource can be viewed at http://www.bonusjoules.co.nz/ClimateChange/Evaluating%20climate%20programmesl.htm

Reviews will be posted at http://www.bonusjoules.co.nz/ClimateChange/Reviews%20CC%20resource%20evaluator.htm

I am sure you appreciate that it is critical that the communication of climate change issues is underpinned by science and look forward to being able to post your review soon.

Thanking you
